Tour Program
DAY 1
Arrival to Zvartnots international airport – transfer to hotel-rest: Yerevan city center tour. -19:30 welcome dinner in Armenian national restaurant with national show.
DAY 2
Breakfast in the hotel-a day trip to Garni pagan temple.(The Temple of Garni is a reconstructed classical Hellenistic temple in the village Garni,Armenia. It is the only “Greco-Roman colonnaded building” in Armenia and the entire former Soviet Union, probably built by king Tiridates I in the first century AD.)
Moving to Geghard monastery. (Geghard is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs.It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.While the main chapel was built in 1215, the monastery complex was founded in the 4th century by Gregoty the Illuminator at the site of a sacred spring inside a cave.)
Tour continues to Sevan lake and Sevanavank. (Lake Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in the world. Lake Sevan is situated in the central part of the Republic of Armenia, in the Gegharkunik Province, at the altitude of 1,900 m above sea level. Originally made from three churches, the monastery of Sevanavank was built on an island. Receding waters in the mid-20th century created the current peninsula. The island was uninhabited until the end of the eight century A.D., when monks built a chapel and a group of cells.)
Returning to Yerevan
DAY 3
Breakfast at the hotel, then visiting Tsitsernakaber Genocide museum. (The Armenian Genocide memorial complex is Armenia’s official memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, built in 1967 on the hill of Tsitsernakaberd in Yerevan. Every year on April 24—the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day—thousands of Armenians gather at the memorial to commemorate the victims of the genocide. Over the years, a wide range of politicians, artists, musician, athletes, religious figures have visited the memorial.)
Tour continues to snt. Hripsime Church of 7th century(Saint Hripsimé Church is one of the oldest surviving churches in Armenia. The church was erected by Catholicos Komitas atop the original mausoleum built by Catholicos Sahak the Great in 395 AD that contained the remains of the martyred Saint Hripsime to whom the church was dedicated.)
Visiting Echmiatsin Mother cathedral, the most ancient Christian cathedral in the world(The Etchmiadzin Cathedral is the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church, located in the city of Vagharshapat, Armenia. According to most scholars, it was the first cathedral (but not the first church) built in ancient Armenia, and is considered the oldest catedral i the world.)
In the evening walking tour in the night Yerevan
DAY 4
After breakfast a day trip to Khor Virap. (The Khor Virap is an Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the Ararat valley in Armenia, near the border with Turkey, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of Artashat, Ararat Province. The monastery was host to a theological seminary and was the residence of Armenian Catholicos.)
Visiting the Areni Wine factory
Moving to Noravank monastery complex. (Noravank is a 13th-century Armenian monastery, located 122 km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu River, near the city of Yeghegnadzor,Armenia. Noravank was founded in 1205 by Bishop Hovhannes, a former abbot of Vahanavank near the present-day city of Kapan in Syunik.)
Moving to Goris , overnight in Goris. In the evening walking to old Goris village , caves illuminated in the night.
DAY 5
Breakfast in the hoptel then moving to Halidzor village to the longest cable car in the world . taking the cable car to Tatev monastery . (The Tatev monasteryis a 9th-century monastery located on a large basalt plateau near the Tatev village in Syunik Province in southeastern Armenia. The term “Tatev” usually refers to the monastery. The monastic ensemble stands on the edge of a deep gorge of the Vorotan iver.Tatev is known as the bishopric seat of Syunik and played a significant role in the history of the region as a center of economic, political, spiritual and cultural activity.)
After –moving to Yerevan
DAY 6
After your tour program has come to its end, we will see you off at the airport.
