No matter where your tour of Armenia takes you, you will enjoy marvelous scenery, incredible historic and cultural sites, and unique food and drinks!

Tour Program

Day 1

On arriving in Yerevan, you will be picked up from Zvartnots International Airport and taken to your 3-star hotel. In the evening you will enjoy a welcoming dinner together with a national entertainment show.

Day 2

After having breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the pagan temple of Garni and the astounding Geghard Monastery which is situated just 30 km from the temple of Garni. Never have paganism and Christianity been so close to each other! These two sights are deservedly considered a must see both for the locals and tourists. Before heading back to your hotel in Yerevan, you will have lunch at Geghard Gorge.

Day 3

After having breakfast in the hotel, you will be accompanied to St. Hripsime Church built in the 7th century. Afterwards, you will be taken to world’s oldest Christian cathedral, St. Etchmiadzin Mother Cathedral, as well as St. Gayane Church. We will then head to Zvartnots.

Day 4

Today’s program starts with a visit to Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex built in the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in 1915. Afterwards, you will explore the Matenadaran (The Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts). In the afternoon you will be taken to Yerevan Vernissage, a large open-air market featuring traditional Armenian art works.

Day 5

Today we will explore the fortress of Amberd and the Armenian Alphabet Monument, giant stone letters dedicated to the founder of the Armenian alphabet. Take the chance to take photos of the huge iron Cross made up with 1700 smaller crosses! We will drive to Stepanavan and visit Lori Berd and the small heavenly Dendropark Stepanavan. We will stay overnight in Stepanavan.

Day 6

Our next stop is the village of Dsegh, where we will visit Hovhannes Toumanian’s House Museum and feel the breath of the beginning of the 20th century. Afterwards, we will visit the Kobayr cloister, a remarkable architectural complex of medieval times. You will enjoy the impressive panorama of the combination of the cloister and the surrounding nature. Haghpat Monastery is another medieval complex you are going to enjoy today! We will stay overnight in Dilijan.

Day 7

After breakfast we will continue our tour and drive to Goshavank which is a popular tourist destination despite being a non-functioning religious complex. Another primary tourist destination is Parz Lich where we will stop for lunch. We will stay overnight in Tsakhadzor.

Day 8

After having breakfast we will head to Tsakhazdzor, one of the most popular health resorts in Armenia. Winter Tsakhadzor is the perfect place to spend your day if you are a winter sports lover as it is an attractive ski and snowboard resort. Among the other attractions of the town, you will visit Kecharis Monastery, one of the most interesting religious complexes of Armenia. The cable car will take you up to Mount Teghenis and you will enjoy tea and coffee on top of the mount. Afterwards, you will get the chance to escape from Yerevan’s summer heat and enjoy the changing colors and shades of Lake Sevan where you will taste the Sevan Lake trout (ishkhan). Today’s program ends with a visit to Sevanavank. We will stay overnight in Tsakhadzor.

Day 9

Today’s program starts with the historical village of Noratus which is most famous for its cemetery and 2500 khachkars. Our next destination is the caravanserai of Selim, an excellent example of Armenian secular architecture of the middle ages. Afterwards, we will drive to Jermuk which is a popular spa town most famous for its fresh air, waterfalls, hot springs and mineral water. We will stay overnight in Jermuk.

Day 10

If you are in Jermuk, don’t miss the opportunity to admire the beauty of Jermuk Waterfall and get a relaxing massage. You are going to love this waterfall hidden down in the canyon! You will have lunch on the bank of a river in Jermuk. Don’t miss the chance to ride the Jermuk cable car and have dinner on top of the mountain. We will stay overnight in Jermuk.

Day 11

A visit to the highest waterfall of Armenia, Shaqe Waterfall, will be a great start of your day that promises to be one full of wonderful impressions. The village of Halidzor is our next destination. After having lunch, you will be taken to Tatev Monastery and get the chance to travel on the world’s longest cable car called the Wings of Tatev and enjoy the breathtaking view from the top! If you like thrilling adventures, then Tatev should be on your list of must see places in Armenia. We will stay overnight in Goris.

Day 12

The 12th day of your tour will be made truly unforgettable as you will get a chance to take a trip to the Hanging Bridge of Khndzoresk, connecting New Khndzoresk and Old Kndzoresk. The village of Khndzoresk is an amazing cave village comprised of natural and manmade caves. In the evening you may want to take a walking trip in Old Goris.

Day 13

Noravanq monastery, lunch at Noravanq. In the afternoon visit Areni winery, then visit Khor Virap before going back to Yerevan.

Day 14

You will have a whole day at your disposal and you can start planning your day!

Day 15

You will enjoy the farewell party at Havana Restaurant and be taken to the airport.
